If no business covers the job, we tell you before you share your details, and nothing is sent.

Know what happens to your request

We check your mobile number by SMS and match requests by trade and service area. When they join, tradies confirm they hold the licences and insurance their work requires, but we don't independently check those documents at present. Check a licence with NSW Fair Trading and ask to see insurance before work begins.

We provide the introduction. The tradie quotes and carries out the work directly, and we don't supervise the work or guarantee the outcome.

Questions homeowners ask

Is it free for homeowners?

Yes. Sending a job request through Blacktown Tradies is free and there's no obligation to hire. The business you hire charges you for its work.

Are tradies verified?

We confirm homeowners' mobile numbers by SMS. When they join, tradies confirm they hold the licences and insurance their work requires, but we don't independently check those documents at present. Check credentials before hiring.

Will I receive three quotes?

The number of responses depends on which businesses cover your suburb and whether the job suits them. We show availability before you send a request, but we can't guarantee a number of quotes.

Who gets my details?

After you confirm your mobile by SMS, no more than 5 businesses that list the trade and your suburb receive your name, mobile number, suburb and job description, and may contact you about the job. Nobody receives them before you confirm, and if no business covers the job we don't send it to anyone. Our privacy policy explains how we handle your details.

Which suburbs do you cover?

The 54 suburbs of Blacktown City, a few of them only partly. Which trades are available changes as businesses join, so check your suburb before you describe the job.
